Being green does not only meen to sell green things to you, our customer, but also do as much as possible to live our lives in green way. People at My Aunt Elephant were or still are involved in other interesting projects to help raise awareness to what is happening to our environment.
One such a project is XOF1 Solar Car Project.
Originated in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, many years ago, Marcelo da Luz have managed to reach the northernmost Canadian settlement, INUVIK, Northwest Teritories. TWICE!!
The trip started a year and two months ago in Toronto, went to Vancouver, turned north and stopped in Inuvik being the very first electric by Sun powered vehicle EVER to reach the land of midnight Sun!
Today Marcelo is back to Inuvik, second time round. In past 14 months he managed to drive this vehicle 35500 kms proving that the technology available today can enable us to have viable electric vehicle for our daily needs.
